Khoisan Gourmet embraces the notion of creating superb products that are quite literally ‘labours of love’ - like our Madagascan and Ugandan vanilla beans, which we think of as ‘African Gold’.
We work with small to medium sized farmers who hand pollinate each and every vanilla flower and work tirelessly over many months to produce their tiny batches of magnificent, sun-dried black vanilla beans. Only the very best, most plump and juicy vanilla beans make their way across the Indian Ocean to us where they are incorporated into a variety of richly infused, sweet and aromatic products.
Borne of time, traditional farming methods and a deep respect for natural processes, our Vanilla products embrace the Khoisan Gourmet ethos of working with the earth’s riches and producers respectfully.
Khoisan Gourmet supplies both organic Bourbon Vanilla and conventional vanilla from the Planifolia type.
Our facility processes whole vanilla beans and converts them into pieces and powder. Vanilla Extract and Paste is expertly produced on site through cold extraction.
Quality testing is handled both on-site and by accredited laboratories to ensure highest standards and consistency.

Madagascar produces most of the world’s top grade vanilla beans / pods and it is master of flavour development with a quality known among Vanilla connoisseurs as the most distinctive in the world.
We have nearly 20 years’ experience in the industry and oversee one of the largest organic projects in Madagascar.
